A Quick Note on Free Usage

Please note that this app runs inside Google's AI Studio App Builder. To make this tool accessible to everyone, it uses Google's free tier, which includes a generous daily limit for image generations that is more than enough for most users.

If you are a power user and find you need more, all you need to do is set up a Google Cloud billing account to unlock unlimited use. For a transparent look at the costs, you can review the official Gemini API pricing here.

For now, Google's free API access inside AI Studio is fantastic. So go impress your friends and family!

Step 1: Take & Upload Photos From Your Phone

Once the app loads, you'll be in the Photo Studio. No need for a fancy camera! Just use your smartphone to take up to 4 photos of your product from different angles. Then, drag and drop them into the upload area. The more angles you provide, the better the AI can understand your product!

Step 2: Select Your Master Shot

Click the “Create Master Shots” button. The AI will clean up your photos and present you with several options. Choose the best-looking image and click “Select Master Shot & Continue”.

Step 3: Generate Creative Variations

This is where the magic happens! You are now in the “Create Variation” screen. You have a few options:

  • AI Scene: Simply describe the background or scene you want (e.g., “On a rustic wooden table next to a steaming cup of coffee”).
  • Templates: Choose from pre-built scenes like “Social Media Post,” “Ad Banner,” or “Lifestyle Action” for professional results without the guesswork.
  • Presets: Select simple backgrounds like “Marble Slab,” “Wooden Surface,” or “Gradient Backdrop.”

Once you've made your choice, click “Generate Variation” and watch your new image come to life.

Step 4: Explore the Full Studio

Nano Banana is a full creative suite. Don't be afraid to explore the other tools in the left-hand menu:

Pro Tip: Use the Image Composer to combine your product with other elements (like a model or other products) and the Platform Studio to instantly resize your final image for any social media format.

Step 5: Find Your Creations

All of your generated images are automatically saved. You can find, sort, and manage all of your creations in the “Asset Library” at any time.
